BEHIND THE LENS

Since 2014 I have dabbled in film and photography but after my first wedding video gig as a nervous little camera assistant, my heart was set aglow and things just kicked off from there.

I discovered that same feeling when taking portraits. Nearly everyone thinks they are terribly awkward in front of a camera. That's why I try to create a candid, effortless, yet uplifting vibe to help you relax so your true personality shines through.

My approach to weddings is the same. Capturing the candid. I love finding those moments in between. The stolen glances, the quiver of emotion heard in touching speeches, the look on your face when your best mate tells that story at the reception. My goal is to encompass everything that is so unique and special to you that makes your day so absolutely and authentically, yours.  With a client driven approach, I aim to incorporate that same dedication in all aspects of my  work.

Working as a news camera operator for Warner Bros. Discovery introduced me to a different, fast-paced type of video creation. It's here where I learned a great deal about emotional storytelling. I was lucky enough to cover some major breaking news events, the odd politician chase (quite literally), but I fell in love with telling the stories of everyday people. Amplifying the voices of those who are often unheard, sparking conversations and driving positive change.

In my spare time you can find me hiking in the mountains, pretending to know what i'm talking about when it comes to craft beer, and slipping The Simpsons' references into conversations.

A New Zealander born and bred, I developed my passion for visual storytelling as a kiwi, but my yearning to explore beautiful scenery and a curious sense of adventure landed me in Canada.
